Righteous Retail is proud to recognize New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) student, Lauryn Landers. Her design was chosen for our "New Orleans Music Mecca of the Universe" t-shirt design competition.
As a winner, Lauryn could select an organization to donate a portion of the profits from shirts purchased with her design. The organization that she choose is Angel's Place. An organization near to her heart and chosen because they helped her brother through his cancer treatment.

In the heart of New Orleans, the Astro Krewe of NOLA is the talk of the town, blending cosmic energy with the soulful roots of jazz. At the helm is Earth “Groove” Greene, the saxophonist and leader whose melodies anchor the band and unite their otherworldly sounds. Groove’s rich, heartfelt playing channels the essence of their vibrant home planet, setting the tone for every performance. On the double bass is Jupiter “Big Bass” Jones, whose deep, resonant grooves ground the music with thunderous authority. Neptune “Cool Breeze” Carter commands the trumpet, weaving ethereal, flowing solos that seem to drift down from the stars. Saturn “Ivory Rings” Ray adds celestial elegance on the piano, their intricate harmonies shimmering like their planet’s iconic rings. And Mars “Red Hot” Riley rounds out the group on drums, driving the band with fiery, pulse-pounding rhythms.Together, the Astro Krewe of NOLA takes New Orleans by storm, transforming every stage into a cosmic celebration. Under Groove’s leadership, they merge the timeless soul of jazz with the mystery of the universe, creating music that connects listeners across space and time. Whether it’s a late-night street parade or playing sold out concerts, their performances remind everyone that the rhythm of the cosmos beats in us all.

Their goal is to provide our kids with the resources they need to lead positive, productive, self-reliant lives.

The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts
The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) is Louisiana conservatory for high school students, offering intensive instruction in Classical Music, Creative Writing, Culinary Arts, Dance, Drama, Entertainment Production Design, Jazz, Media Arts, Musical Theatre, Vocal Music, Visual Arts, and academics. Students attend via full-day, afternoon, and after-school sessions. Admission to NOCCA is by audition, and there is no tuition.

Angel's Place
Angels’ Place is a non-profit respite care service for children serving the greater New Orleans area, Covington, Mandeville, Slidell, and southern Mississippi. The mission of Angels’ Place is to provide ongoing support services to children with life threatening illnesses and their families. Consistent with the vision of our founder Anita Gilford, we support these families in a loving and caring manner throughout the year.

Tim Tebow Foundation
The Tim Tebow Foundation provides for the physical and spiritual care of children who have been left homeless or abandoned, as well as resources to create strong families and adoption assistance, all to protect children from these vulnerabilities and give them hope for a secure future.
